In Your Face!!

Yesterday, July 4, 2016, we celebrated Independence Day, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress. Incorporated in that document is the statement “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Today, we learned just how far from that ideal we have strayed. FBI Director James Comey announced today that the FBI has concluded its investigation and will not recommend charges against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for using multiple private email servers to store, send and receive top secret, classified information even though “There is evidence they [Clinton and staff] were extremely careless in their handling of classified information”.
This is same day that Hillary Clinton and James Comey’s ultimate boss, Barack Obama, campaigned together in North Carolina. The day after word went out that Hillary Clinton might retain James Comey’s boss, Loretta Lynch, as Attorney General. The week after James Comey’s boss, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, met with former president Bill Clinton. Have these people no shame?
Comey did clarify that “To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.”
In other words, the “fix is in.”
Do you think any of the governed would consent to the unequal application of law based on the accused’s status within government, society or the economy?
I think not.
I think Glenn McCoy nailed it!!

Do Republicans REALLY want this guy as President??
by Mike on Jan.24, 2016, under Political
Granted, some of this is dated, but do we really want a guy who has seemingly come around on so many touchstone conservative issues in just the last few years? I think not.
I prefer a unquestioned conservative – Ted Cruz.
Do Guns Get the Same Deference as Muslims from our President?
by Mike on Feb.19, 2015, under Political
At the “Anti-Extremist Summit” came the QUOTE OF THE DAY from President Obama:
We are not at war with Islam. We are at war with people who have perverted Islam…Religion is not responsible for violence and terrorism. People are responsible for violence and terrorism.
Do you think we could insert guns for Islam and get the president to say this:
We are not at war with guns. We are at war with people who have perverted guns…guns are not responsible for violence and terrorism. People are responsible for violence and terrorism.
I think not.
Dallas Business Journal: SBA wants to help gay businesses win more government contracts

I saw this on DBJ and wondered, “Isn’t this the same government that argued that businesses can not be Christian and therefore must implement Obamacare?”
How then can a business be gay?

My plan for Comprehensive Immigration Reform:
Secure the Border.
When that is done, come back and let’s talk about the rest.
